Kyes Meningitis Journey

Donation protected

Hello everyone, Kye Vincent contracted meningococcal septicaemia C on Mothers Day (06/03/2016) 6 days after his baby sister was born. Kye was in picu for 13 days in an induced coma & a further week once out of sedation. Kye battled the first critical 90 hours and won the battle but unfortunately this horrific disease riddled his body and the septicaemia restricted the blood flow to his extremities resulting in the limb loss after they had turnt black. In total Kye spent 6 months in St Mary's hospital in Paddington, London. As a result Kye had to had have both legs amputated (one below knee & one through knee). In addition he lost his left hand through the wrist and lost the majority of his right hand and just has his thumb remaining. Kye has since spent 2 months at a local hospital (Stoke Mandeville) after being transferred for rehabilitation. We are fundraising for a physio room to be built at the bottom of the garden in Kyes new house with an endless pool to strengthen his muscles for life aiding him walking on his prosthetics.

Thank you for your support its much appreciated :)
