Honduras Mission Trip

A group of DPT students from WKU have been given the opportunity to serve in Guaimaca, Honduras through a ministry called BE ministries this summer. The heart of BE Ministires is to disciple those around them, provide a home for victims of domestic violence and human trafficking, and through teams like us, to help preserve families and to protect at-risk special needs children. A team of about 10 students and therapists will be working together to provide physical therapy for children who live in remote villages.
It is our hope that this trip will be a life changing experience for not only the people we encounter, but also us as we seek to live out the gospel through serving in Honduras. Many times on these short-term mission trips, one receives far more than we can ever give to people. However, we are intent on sharing the love of Christ through service, relationship, and love.
The first way you can support us is through prayer. We are in need of people wanting to partner with us through prayer. Please be praying for the missionaries already present in Guaimaca, the hearts of the people that we will encounter, and us as we prepare our hearts and minds to serve.
The second way you can support us is through a financial commitment. As you might imagine, this trip is a major financial commitment for us. We have to raise the entire personal cost of our trip (airfare and expenses while there) as well as the cost of supplies for the children.
