Tyler's treatment fund

The story I tell is a mother's nightmare.  Tyler was 13 years old when , like a normal kid, he scratched at a pimple.  He had an infection set in, and the doctor gave him an antibotic.  7 days into a 10 day cycle, burns  began appearing in his mouth . His breathing became labored,  his skin broke out in lesions, his vision faded and his ears started bleeding .  He was rushed to the emergency room, and diagnosed with a Steven-Johnson reaction to sulfa medicine.  Tyler was a baseball player, top in the county . Track runner and artist.  His dream of  playing pro ball are gone.  His allergy is so severe, he has to special order soap, detergent, food . He can havenothing that contains even traces of sulfa. He can not indulge junkfood like a regular teen. He can not  eat in restaruants, or enjoy school activities.  His condition took a turn for the worst in November 2014.  A side effect of his steven johnson reaction, he developed inverse psoraisis, and psoriatic arthritis.  His knee, back, foot, ankle,hand and jaw are all effected witharthritis mutlans, he cannot walk with out a cane, he can no longer run.He can notchew food , his jaw only opens a few milimeters.  Every morning, his sheets stick to his opens sores, and we have to wet them down to remove them from his flesh.

He never complains, is always happy and spiritied. He is well known in the community for his sunny personality.
He is in chronic, horrifc pain daily, and can take nothing stronger than tylenol , due to the allergy .  Instead of worrying about girls, cars, school, tyler has to worry if he can walk each morning.

He has the opporutnity for treatment , not to"fix " or  soothe his skin, for he has given up on that.but to regain the ability to walk and use his hands . He will be seen atthe Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, 4-28-2015 , total treament cost 11400.00.  We have almost 5k but Mayorequires payment at time of treatment, and insurance wont cover this pre-exsisting condition. Due to the allergy , he is limited on the medication and treatement, andsadly the one that will work comes at a high price. Im starting a go-fund me as a lastresort, as  money shouldnt be the differnce between a kid walking or being crippled for life. If his joints are not treated soon,his life will be one of wheel chairs and pain instead of the simple ablity just to chew food and walk to themail box. I pray this works.
