As students we understand the importance of networking in building a sustainable career. We join the organizations, build lasting relationships, and support one another in this attempt. Ultimately it's not about what you know, but more importantly who knows you.
Help seven (7) students raise money to attend a Student Leadership Conference on November 12-14, 2015!
Each year the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) hosts a leadership conference for accounting and finance students. At the conference, students can network with working professionals, representatives from major corporations, faculty, and other students. It’s an absolutely awesome real-world learning experience.
During the conference, students can choose from a wide variety of educational sessions and earn credit during the event! These sessions help build the knowledge and skills we will need to start us out on the right career path as well as reinforce concepts taught in our classrooms at the university.
Several types of educational sessions will be offered. There will be two general sessions that will kick off the educational portion of the conference on Friday morning, and one general session on Saturday will close the event. Also, concurrent sessions are offered Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. They are an hour in length and cover a variety of topics.
This year, the IMA Student Leadership Conference is being held in Lake Buenos Vista Florida making it more costly for students to attend. We are raising money for airfare, lodging, registration fees, and meals. We estimate it will cost approximately $1,000 per student to attend.
