On Earth Day a few weeks ago, we were having lunch at the Catholic Worker Farm when lightning struck! It killed our solar power inverter and left us without power to run our non-profit organic farm and retreat center for people living with HIV. Moments before, we had gathered to sign a Celebration Declaration about the story of the universe's unfolding from the Creation (like POWER of thunder) to the present sacred moment. Yes Almighty Love, we do celebrate Your awesome lightning on this beautiful, cataclysm-prone Earth! So now, we are gathering forces to STRIKE BACK IN LOVE with a 24-hour, lightning-fast fundraising campaign! {Let the interplay of life continue!} We drove our fried inverter all the way to Oregon, and we just found out it can't be repaired. A new one did cost $2,900, along with $300 for future surge protection. Please donate NOW so that we can buy a new MPPT or two (depending on our engineering survey). Last week we purchased a new inverter from the best dealer on the West Coast. If you can shower us with love RIGHT NOW, we can replace the MPPT(s) that got stunned by lightning along with the inverter.
