Stacey was born and raised in Manhattan, KS. She went to school here and has worked her whole life in the Manhattan/Wamego area. Stacey is single and self-employed, working at Shaggieville in Manhattan. Her grown daughter and son-in-law, Alyssa and Austin, live in Lawton, OK. Stacey is loved by so many and her bright smile can make anyone's day!
In January, Stacey was diagnosed with breast cancer. On February 14th, she had a mastectomy and lymph nodes removed, In early March, she had additional lymph nodes removed and a port placed for chemotherapy.
The doctors, Stacey, and all of her many friends and family are confident she will beat this cancer. Stacey is a fighter and we are going to fight for her as well!
Because Stacey is self-employed, there are many days that she hasn't been able to work due to surgery and treatment and there will be many more to come. This campaign is to help Stacey with her many medical expenses and to help cover her day-to-day living expenses. Quite simply, if she doesn't work, she doesn't get paid. Her family and friends want her to take the time she needs to heal and not worry about finances.
In addition to this campaign, we will be hosting a Strength for Stacey benefit on April 29th beginning at 4pm at the Blue Hills Room in Manhattan.
