Let's Light the Lights....

Built in 1924, The Strand Theatre has a long history of providing quality entertainment to the residents of Clinton and surrounding communities. The triangular marquee, which was added to our façade in the late 1930’s, has become a landmark and a recognizable focal point of Clinton’s downtown area. While structurally sound, some of the metalwork on our sign has corroded and the neon tube lighting has become inoperable.

We are now looking to restore our marquee and upgrade the lighting to more energy-efficient LED fixtures. The cost for this work is substantial and we are looking to friends, family, and our patrons for assistance.

Any contribution is welcomed and appreciated, but for donations of $50 or more you will be recognized on a plaque displayed in our ticket lobby as follows:

  $50 - $99: Supporting Cast

  $100 - $249: Leading Role

  $250 - $499: Director

  $500 and above: Executive Producer

If The Strand holds a special place in your heart, we would welcome your contribution to our Marquee Fund.  If you are struggling with a gift idea for a loved one who enjoys The Strand, consider donating in their name. If you have fond memories of times at The Strand with someone who has passed on, honor them with an “in memoriam” contribution.

Please note, The Strand is not a non-profit organization. Contributions to our Marquee Fund are not tax-deductible. However, they are greatly appreciated and will go a long way toward preserving this very recognizable feature of Clinton’s downtown.
