Cindi's Stolen Rented Camera Gear

My name's Cindi and I make my living as a photographer. On December 26th, I rented expensive camera equipment for a wedding I was shooting the next day and it was stolen out of my boyfriend's car. I now owe the full retail cost of $6611 to the rental company. I'm here because I honestly don't have the money. I humbly ask for your help. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. What Went Down: We were coming from his house and stopped to pick up the camera gear on the way back to my house. Subsequently, we had my dog in the car. After picking up the rental, we stopped nearby for some takeout. This was between 4:40 and 5:20 PM. We rolled down a window a couple inches for my dog and were gone from the car for not more than 20 minutes. In that time, the equipment was taken. We hadn't noticed it was missing because no windows were broken; no damage was immediately noticeable. (Later on, we found there were paint chips and scrape marks on the side of the door + the rubber gasket by the window was also tampered with) It wasn't until we were unloading the car at my apartment that we noticed the gear was gone. We had it in the trunk of his car. The gear was in two black, hard cases (Nanuk 920 and 935).
Stolen equipment:
(1) Blackmagic 4K Digital Cinema Camera with EF Mount (1) Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L Zoom Lens (1) Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT (2) SanDisk 480GB SSD cards Various accessories aren't listed (ex. card reader, AC adapter, flash filters, lens caps, etc.) The Aftermath: So far, we've been checking in every day with the police for any updates. There isn't even anyone assigned to my case yet. There have been some helpful members of the community who have stepped up and offered their help by asking those who know to keep a look out on resale websites like Amazon, eBay, and Craigslist. A news article is being written by a reporter who kindly reached out to write up a story about this in order to help spread the word. Another kind soul is helping to pull as many strings as he can to have any surveillance footage viewed and turned over. I will post any and all updates here as they happen.
