HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign

THE STIGMA CHALLENGE

Every year on the 1st of December, the world comemorates the World Aids Day. Unfortunately, this day often goes unnoticed. The Belgian Medical Students' Association (BeMSA) aims to change that by all means available to us.

We organise a series of events promoting awareness on the topic of STIs, the biggest of which is called The Stigma Challenge.

The Stigma Challenge is an entire day, devoted to educating students and the general public about the biggest stigmas present in today's society.  We do this by organising events in highly-frequented public spaces in 3 Belgian cities (Ghent, Leuven and Brussels).

We have been organising the event for several years, but we are aiming to expand our reach and impact. In order to achieve this goal, we need funding to set up each location, as well as provide educational materials and a platform for related organisations to offer further information and support to our audience.
