On Friday 12th October 2018 our dear friend Stephen Linley was suddenly taken from us near his home in Leeds. He was crossing the street, as he does every day, when he was struck and killed in a road traffic collision.
Stephen was loved by many and had an incredible ability to bring people together by seeing the best in those around him. Before this tragic event took place, Stephen lost his older brother and his grandfather during the same year and leaves behind his wonderful parents and his girlfriend that he was planning a future with.
As his close friends we would love to give Stephen the send off he deserves. His family have been through so much this year and we hope to take the burden of paying for another funeral away from them as much as possible.
All donations will go towards covering the costs of his funeral and his wake where we will celebrate his life with family and friends.
Any additional funds will go towards a charity of the family’s choice.

Hi, amazing effort so far, an unbelievable amount has been raised, thanks to everyone who has donated.
Gofundme have asked me to add some more information about myself and how the funds are going to be used. I'm Richard Hetherington, originally from Warrington but moved to Leeds for university where I met Steve around 13 yrs ago. We both moved away following uni but ended up moving back to Leeds around 6 years ago and have remained close friends ever since.
The intention of any funds raised from this page is to cover any funeral and wake costs to help relieve any monetary worries we can from Steves family. Leftover money will be donated to the charity of their choice. It's also an opportunity for Steves many friends to show how much he will be missed.
The intention is for me to withdraw all of the money raised and then transfer the whole amount to Steves Mum, Fran, via bank transfer.
