Steve Dilling's Macular Ischemia Corrective Lenses
Donation protected
As many of you may know, my dad has been dealing with chronic vision loss for about 5 years. A few years ago he was diagnosed with Macular Ischemia which is a light-sensitive degeneration that attacks the central vision. This caused him to gradually lose the ability to drive and even read from a computer screen or piece of paper. Steve was claimed legally blind and has gradually become codependent on most everyday tasks.
Through the years he has gone to countless doctors trying to find a solution and none have been able to help him. On February 12, 2019 he was seen by Dr. Edward Paul of Paul Vision Institute in Wilmington, NC. Dr. Paul has helped several people with similar stories regain their vision with Bioptic SightScope Glasses. He ran a vision test on him and gave him a pair of test glasses based on his condition. The results were instant. After having not seen for almost 5 years, my dad was able to see with absolute clarity.
This is a LIFE CHANGER for our family! With your help, he can get his own set of glasses (2 pairs are required: one for reading and one for driving). It would give him the ability to live life closer to normal than he has in these last 5 years. Thank you all so much!
