Fundraiser for the Sterne Family

This is a fundraiser set up by the Somerset School Department and the Town of Somerset for the Sterne family with their consent, where all proceeds go directly to the family's account. 

Our deepest condolences to the family for the loss of their 6 year old son Mason. 

Please refrain from contacting the family directly. There has been a wonderful outpouring of support for the family in our community, however we wish to respect their privacy.

We should clarify that Facebook fundraisers takes practically the exact same fee % out as GoFundMe fundraisers. This GoFundMe fundraiser goes directly to the family’s bank account on a daily basis. The Facebook fundraiser goes to someone else’s personal bank account (not a family member) which will take 2+ weeks to receive then that person will have to write the check to the family. Some folks want it to go directly to the family which is why we set up this fundraiser. If you donate $50 online (on any platform) the fee is approximately $1.45. GoFundMe allows you to add that small percentage to your donation so that the full amount goes to the family.
