We Need Your Support to Launch Our Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic for our neighbors in Puerto Armuelles!

Portenos Unidos Para Perros (P.U.P.P.) is a group of Expatriates and Panamanians working together to help reduce the street animal population by alleviating the suffering of these animals, along with supporting Panamanian families who have opened their homes to many animals here in our community Puerto Armuelles, Panama.

We are partnering with DogCamp Boquete and Amigos de Animales to hold our first low cost sterilization clinic on January 12, 2019 in Puerto Armuelles, Panama.

Our goal is to fix 120 animals at a low cost in one weekend.
And then do it again three months later!

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:
Four veterinarians from DogCamp Boquete  provide their services at a low cost to the community…AND six volunteers from Amigos de Animales  will train our group for our future clinics!

The community wins with a $15 cost per dog and $10 per cat for the surgery, de-worming, and vitamin shot.

We need your support to pay for families who cannot afford the cost of the procedure!
Many local restaurant owners and other Panamanians feed leftovers to their local strays, but veterinary care? Sterilization? Vaccinations? Trauma care? We have very limited support through a monthly clinic and despite their amazing efforts one vet can only do so much.

The community is big-hearted but for the Panamanian people, their families come first.
Our goal is to help families helping the animals of Puerto…

OUR CAMPAIGN HAS TWO MAJOR GOALS:

GOAL # 1: For our first spay and neuter clinic scheduled for January 12, 2019 will focus on providing this service at a low cost for the local Panamanians here in Puerto Armuelles, with your help no one will be turned away, if they can’t afford to pay.

GOAL # 2: Population control of Puerto’s street animals! Female dogs are always pregnant, over 50% of the mothers die and their puppies rarely survive either. We do have a vet that comes to Puerto once a month to help us, but it is just a drop in the bucket.

The situation in Puerto Armuelles with the sick and injured animals and the multitude of litters of puppies and kittens is beyond our financial capability. We need financial assistance to be able to control the population, to feed and provide vet services.

Your donations will be used for:

Medications, paying for operations, and expenses associated with providing our services.

Hello Community and Donors. Our first spay/neuter clinic was a resounding success on January 12th,  2019.  Our total number of dogs and cats for spay and neuter was 111 . It was a 10 hour day  for all our wonderful volunteers, including our team - Portenos Unidos Para Perros, and our superb Trainers and Neighbours- Amigos de Animales,  Boquete . All our volunteers showed such dedication, care and love for all who attended our clinic. The feedback from our  Panamanian community was appreciative and they expressed their thanks for the care of their fur babies. The low cost was affordable to our community and they are expressing interest in our next upcoming clinic.
This was truly inspiring for all,  especially the first timers. This experience has also given us the opportunity to build important relationships with our fellow Panamanian neighbours. We are always recruiting volunteers that include locals and expats working together for a healthy future.

Most of all, we wish to Thank all of you, family and friends, who supported our first clinic with your generous donations. We couldn't have done this without you! We’re so humbled and grateful for your contributions and hopeful for your continued support in our ongoing efforts to 'stop the suffering' in Puerto Armuelles.  And, with your donations , we’re already working out the details for our next clinic. Stay tuned! ❤
