Stem Cells for Dad

Anyone who has ever met my dad knows what a kind and giving person he is. He does anything for everyone and never expects anything in return. As most of you know, he has been suffering from Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis for several years. These diseases have progressed to a point where he is in constant pain and is unable to do many of the things he loves to do.
After researching many options, I have found one that looks extremely promising. Of course it is not covered by insurance but if this therapy is successful which there is over a 75 percent chance that it will be, it could greatly improve the quality of my dad's life by easing his pain and actually helping his cartilage to regenerate with the help of stem cells.
My parents are extremely generous people and because of the generosity that they have bestowed on me and others, I would like to provide them with the means to pay for this treatment so they can save what is left of their retirement for living expenses.
You all know my dad does not like to ask for help. He is used to being the strong one and doing things for others. We have exhausted all other avenues of treatments and medications and many of them have made things even worse. I just want my dad to have a chance at the quality of life he deserves. Thank you for your consideration.

Hi Friends and Family,
Please read as this is important and concerns my mom Dorothy Wokovich and my dad Joe Wokovich.
I just want to clear up some confusion that the GoFundMe page that I started for my dad has caused as my mom has been receiving some questions and negative feedback.
First...my parents are aware that I posted the GoFundMe page. They are embarrassed that I did it because they did not want to ask for help or give people the wrong idea but it was not posted without their knowledge.

Secondly my parents are not broke. They are living off a limited retirement and both have medical issues and I did not want them to use money they may need to live off of for the treatments. I personally am unable to repay them for their generosity to me and so I reached out for help.

Third.. I hate to see my dad's quality of life reduced by the amount of pain he is in. I carefully researched this treatment. He has a 75 percent chance of the stem cells helping his cartilage to regenerate which will greatly reduce his pain and improve his quality of life. It requires more than one treatment because there is more than one area that is affected. It is not covered by insurance.

Please do not judge my parents negatively for allowing me to post the GoFundMe page. My mom has asked me to remove it and I will be taking it down at the end of the weekend. I apologize for the embarrassment I caused my parents and any confusion I may have caused anyone else. My intention was only to help my dad who I believe to be the kindest most generous and unselfish man I know. I will be taking the page down on Sunday after everyone has had a chance to read the update and just in case,,,
