I am working towards going to The Gambia, West Africa, to teach young girls in that severely under-educated country (especially for women). It is my dream to help change the world, one person at a time, and the opportunity to work with Starfish is an incredible one that is right up my alley as an English Education major.
The total bill for my trip and stay is a little under $7,000, which includes travel fees and money for food. I have outside support from my school, but any and all help would be incredibly appreciated.
I need the funds by May, 2019. I know that is soon, but if you can find it in your bank account (and I completely understand if you can't - I'm a college student so I understand all too well) to help me achieve my dream and the dreams of some young girls in Africa endeavoring to learn all we can, please donate! Below is the video of their anthem, to help you understand what they stand for and why I find it so important to help support them as a teacher/volunteer!
