We ALL Have El Centro's Back!

Donation protected
Originally from my Pantsuit Nation post: I live in a very small, progressive town in North Carolina. Carrboro is known as a safe place for so many types of people, and last night someone threw a brick through the window of El Centro Hispano of Carrboro, a local non-profit that works to strengthen the community, build bridges and advocate for equity and inclusion for Hispanics/Latinos in the Triangle Area of North Carolina. My heart breaks for all of El Centro’s staff and clients now left feeling unsafe in a space that provides so much for our community. This is totally a hate crime, same intimidation tactics used in small southern towns for far too long. A white ex-cop, admitted "pissed-off conservative" posted on El Centro's FB page saying that maybe the person who threw the brick "was trying to tell them something." Can we come together to tell our Hispanic/Latino brother and sisters that we have their back? If you can't donate, please give them love on Facebook, and you can send letters to:
