Since 1998, HFRadio.org and then SunSpotWatch.com  have been providing the general public with space weather and radio propagation resources to the amateur radio, shortwave radio listening, commercial broadcasting, military, and other radio communicator groups.

These websites and related social media efforts and resources have been funded out of the private efforts of Tomas, amateur radio hobbyist, NW7US.  For a number of years, Tomas has been learning and contemplating the addition of YouTube resources.

Now it is time to take this effort to a new level, by providing educational videos and other creative resources about space weather, the Sun-Earth connection, radio propagation, radio communications, and so on.

The funds that are collected in this campaign will be used both for new video equipment, computer hardware, and software, but also for some of the operating costs (just hosting for SunSpotWatch.com alone costs $1800 per year - whcih has been paid for out of Tomas regular income).

Your help in getting this new venture off the ground (a YouTube Channel dedicated to space weather, and radio propagation) is appreciated.

Help! We need your help - can you contribute, today? We are working on a new YouTube educational channel, and need funds for equipment and software. (Read on, to know more...)

Click: http://www.gofundme.com/sswchnl

We are fundraising for a couple of new YouTube channels:

1) Space weather education as well as current space weather reports.

2) Radio communications education in many topic areas (propagation, antennas, techniques, modes).

The purpose of the fundraising is to secure equipment and tools so that our videos are high in quality. The needs are: a production computer, lights, a better video camera, and miscellaneous other tools and software subscriptions.

Some have asked, "Why are you fundraising, if YouTube videos are free?" It takes money to produce professional-grade videos.

Are video cameras free? Is software to produce the video free? Is a computer with the proper power (CPU, memory, video card, monitors, hard drives) free? Please let us know where we can get all of those things for free.

The fact is: it takes some money to obtain the tools and resources with which to make the videos that we want to offer you.

Here's the fundraising link:

We appreciate your consideration. And, spread the link around, if you would.

Don't forget: You can also get the space weather and radio propagation self-study course, today. Visit http://nw7us.us/swc for the latest sale and for more information!

Hey, friends, and the rest of you, too: I NEED YOUR HELP! ( http://www.gofundme.com/sswchnl )

I am Tomas, amateur radio operator NW7US. I am the curator of the Space Weather + Ham Radio Resources? Facebook page, and http://SunSpotWatch.com as well as https://YouTube.com/NW7US -- you probably already know that. And, you may have seen this post, before. I'm posting it again, and will from time to time, until the goal is reached.

I am fundraising for my attempt to launch at least two new educational YouTube channels. These channels are about radio communications (including videos about using digital modes), and space weather (sunspots, xray flares, the ionosphere, aurora, etc), I may also create a computer programming channel.

I NEED YOUR HELP IN TWO WAYS!

1) Please visit this page and help out: http://www.gofundme.com/sswchnl

2) Share this, so others can help.

By helping me out, you will help me launch these new educational channels, on YouTube!

What is a YouTube channel? YouTube says, "A channel on YouTube is the home page for an account. It shows the account name, the account type, the public videos they've uploaded, and any user information they've entered." A YouTube channel can have any number of videos, all about one topic, or, a collection of playlists such that each playlist is covering a topic.

My main personal channel is https://YouTube.com/NW7US -- and I have many topics. I am trying to develop at least TWO new, specific channels: The first would provide high-quality educational material (videos) on space weather, and the other on radio communication, propagation, antennas, and so on.

I need your help! I cannot do this alone! I need your help in creating a new resource for everyone to use.

Please help out, today: http://www.gofundme.com/sswchnl

Thank you!
