Sports and Fitness Park
The Mission of the Marian Center is to educate, train and serve people with developmental disabilities and assist them in wholeness, pursuant to the dictates of the Gospel and of the Church’s call to love, charity and justice.
This project was created by the late Sister Lucia, the founder of The Marian Center. Her dream was to build this Sport and Fitness Park for the students and adults who attend and live in the Marian Center. Our mission continues, to challenge, love, nurture, train and educate these individuals to their fullest potential.
The Marian Center offers services for people with intellectual disabilities, such as:
- A fully accredited school for students age: 6-21.
- An adult day training and work program.
- A full-time residential facility for women.
Each of these programs welcomes people from all races, religions and backgrounds, and provides partial financial aid to all those who qualify.
Physical activities are an intricate part of our program. Our 50 acre campus empowers each person to not only admire nature, but enjoy the surroundings by participating in various outdoor activities, as well as to learn an appreciation while taking care of our unique Florida environment.
Coordination and physical activities will empower our students and adults, each with diverse abilities, to perform better academically, to reach their goals and to participate in a variety of physical activities, competition and ultimately, enjoy life more fully.
Our current facilities are desperately in need of refurbishing. We need your help and we need it now. We ask that you consider donating a portion of the costs or whatever your means will allow.
We thank you and pray that our Lord will bless you abundantly.
