Children Need a Home

I am a police officer that was watching a family with three children be asked to leave a shelter because the mother had a job.  She made a minimal wage and was unable to secure housing or assistance.  There were no resources for her to turn to for help.   

I started  a Go Fund Me campaign to ensure that they did not end up in the cold and to ensure they would find housing.  They now have housing and we have successfully acquired enough (total $8,3,00) donations so this family can succeed in maintaining housing.

In this process, I have learned of so many other homeless children and that there are not enough resources to house them.  I would like to keep this campaign moving by helping even more children and families.  As such, I have asked a Non Profit Organization to take over as more donations come in. 

That organization is the Milwaukee Center for Children and Youth, Inc. 

Proceeds beyond the $8,300 that has already been donated will go to the MCCY.  They help at risk families in our community.  Donations will assist families in need of safe and healthy housing.
