How many people do you know that are great, noteworthy, astonishing..? How many people are out there that never get recognition for what they do? For an artist the struggle for acceptance and recognition can seem like a losing streak. What does it take for the world to deem an artist as brilliant? How do you become the next Picasso, Dali, or Van Gogh?
…Van Gogh, is a good topic. Van Gogh was an unknown artist until sometime after his death. This seems to be the case for many talented and creative people. And that’s even if their treasure is discovered after their passing. How many other creative people do you think have existed that were new known about?
Special Delivery is about the unknown. This is a recognition to all of those unknowns out there living and dead. The creative force in, around, through, behind, and in front of it is the same creative/driving force in me too. Its an ancient language that is prevalent throughout all of life.
In my pursuit I’ve decided to make some special deliveries of my artwork using the world as my gallery. However it may be nice, I don’t need walls to have a sense of worth. The creativity inside is greater than the product. Passing down the ideas and information/translation of my connection with a divine creative source to other aspiring people is the real art. I suppose that is why I am doing this exhibition. I’ve decided to travel around parts of the nation and set up my own exhibit. What else should I do.. paint my whole life, die, and maybe someone consider me worthy enough when they discover me in a tomb full of my work? I’d rather share and experience a sense of gratification from what I do while I am still living.
