Speak For Yourself

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Chris and I am a United States Marine,  who has ALS. I was diagnosed in 2010 and have been fighting the disease for seven years now. ALS is a terminal disease that has taken away all of my mobility, has begun to take my voice and will eventually take my life. I have been looking for a way to share my experiences with my disease in order, to help my PALS (Persons with ALS) whom are struggling to communicate for themselves. I have been blessed with a device, called a Tobii-Dynovox. This device allows me to communicate using my eyes and my voice.  I can actually work on my device, search the web, send emails, make calls, operate my environmental controls using aps (through the wifi) and many other things. These devices are very expensive and with your help, together we can provide these devices, so that PALS can speak for themselves. Can you imagine not being able to communicate for yourself?  To ask for a drink of water, something to eat or use the bathroom?  How about in an emergancy, like choking, ventalator is clogged, chest pains or difficulty breathing? This is the reality that people with ALS will face.  So please, together, let's help those who cannot speak for themselves.  We will do this one device at a time and one patient at a time. Thank you for your support.
