As many of you may or may not know, Sean Kelly’s wife Janet is going through a very serious medical issue, as a large mass was found within Janet’s brain. She very recently had a portion of the mass removed but will now need to start a very long journey of radiation therapy and chemotherapy over the next 7 plus months. Janet and the rest of the family have a long road ahead that will be mentally, physically and financially daunting. As many people are aware, when a medical issue arises our regular insurance does not cover all of the unexpected expenses.

Listed below are just few examples of what we hope to help cover with your donations:

Medications partially or not covered by insurance
Fuel costs for travelling to hospitals in various cities on a near daily basis
Parking costs for all medical visits
Meals costs while traveling to varies appointments
Lost time from work, not only for Janet but Sean as well
Medical equipment that may not be covered by insurance
Care for their three children in various manners
Mortgage and car payments
 
All of these items may be small in nature at first, but over an extended period of time these costs can grow into several thousands of dollars.

We ask that everyone give the family their space during this time, but know that they appreciate all that you are doing for them. Our goal ultimately is to let Janet and the rest of the family focus on getting her healthy with as little distraction as possible. While it may seem nice to let them know you are thinking about them, it could easily overwhelm them if people continually approach with well wishes. Please keep this in mind and use discretion.
