QUEST Scholarships
We at Quest Teen Leadership have been up to big things lately, such as reviving this amazing program in the DFW area. This program is unique in that learning is through experience, practical excercises. Teens get to connect with each other and learn skills and tools that will empower them to make healthy choices. Results show up in grade improvement, effective communicaton, empathy, self-confidence, and in being leaders in their lives and their communities.
I have been asked by many that want to be involved what they can do to be in support...the truth is, there are so many ways! Jamie and I are humbled by the amount of support we have received since taking this on. The biggest way to support is to get the word out of course, share our flyer and contact info to parents of teens, community leaders, local schools, etc. There are volunteer opportunities available as well anytime a training is being held, we will need approximately ten staff members to work with the teens directly and ten to support with logistical throughout the weekend.
The cost of the workshop includes meals, drinks and snacks and we will always welcome donated, store bought, sealed items. It is my goal to raise money to provide five (5) scholarships pertraining so that teens that want to participate but for whatever reason cannot afford to do so are not left out. Each early bird tuition is $250, regular price is$275 so our goal is to raise a minimum of $1250 for our May 30-31 training. Support us in showing teens what is possible when we get out of our way!
