Moving Out and Starting Our Life

Donation protected

Alright, now I do hate asking for help, more than anything in the world, but we literally have nowhere else to turn at this point.  So in short, The week of Thanksgiving, my Girlfriend was pretty much kicked out of her apartment by her roommate, who decided to spend the majority of their money on Video Games, rather than rent and decided to move back in with their parents. This of course left her unable to afford rent on her own.

Now, me being the good boyfriend I am, I decided that this would be our chance to finally meet in person, after being together for nearly a year, and we would move in together, now with the help of her mother, whom I adore more than anything for her help, We put together enough money to get our own apartment, but would only be able to do it after the Holiday season had ended. So until then, I would drive up to Colorado where she lived, and pick her up to bring back down to Arkansas where I lived.

And upon such short notice, We didnt have quite a lot of time to plan this, so in the meantime we had intended to stay in a motel for the week or so it took to get the apartment together. This did not come out as well, as we had thought as the Motel  was to charge about $400-$500 for the week, and that was money that we simply could not just afford, so we attempted again to find a place to reside with my grandfather, who has several spare rooms in his home.

This worked out great, until about 5 hours into my drive he called me, explaining how big of a mistake I was making and how we couldnt stay with her due to her nationality. This caused us once again, great despair as we would once again have to find a place to reside for a short while. After running through every option I had, I remembered one of my coworkers mentioning something about renovating a room, so I figured I would ask them for help as a last ditch effort, would ask them to stay. Well they ended up saying 'Yes' and I agree'd to pay them $100 out of every paycheck we were there, hopefully just the one but still, and we would take care of our own food and everything.

So all is going pretty great until I'm about, say, 10 hours into my drive, I'm getting super excited to finally meet her and all of a sudden my 'Check Engine' Light comes on, so I pull over to the side of the road, turn off my radio and hear a sort of whirring/rattling sound. I popped the hood trying to figure it out, but knowiong nothing about cars, I managed to flag down a passing cop who came to my aide. Apparently within the 700 miles I had driven, ALL of my oil had been depleted and began eating away at my engine. The Officer called me a tow truck, and got my car towed, leaving me still about 5 hours from my girlfriend.

The Tow truck driver pointed me towards a very conveniently placed motel directly behind his shop, that only charged about $23 a night, and for what I had, I couldnt argue. I was in so much distress, I had no idea how to get to her from there, or what I was going to do after I got to her. One of my friends, who had been informed previously of the move, managed to message me and ask me how it was going, and after explaining the situation to him, offered to buy me a Greyhound ticket as long as I paid him back, and I agreed. As he ordered the ticket, the thought struck that I would have no way to the station, so fighting back tears I tried every single option I had to find a ride, until finally breaking and resorting to trying the police for help. To my absolute surprise they agreed and picked me up from my motel and transported me to the station.

((Huge shout out to the Wakeeney, Kansas and Ways, Kansas Police stations for the help, if the officers that assisted me ever see this, I am truly truly grateful.))

So I eventually make it to Denver, which is very close to her apartments, and flag down an Uber to take me there. At this point I have roughly $30 to my name Until we manage to get the money from her Mother. So I get to her place, and she's just as beautiful as I imagined, and it's all happy and good for just the few moments, as the dread starts setting in we realized we had to come up with a way home. The money from her mother wasn't gonig to be in that day, so we used the last of my money to get us a motel for the night while we waited. The money eventually came in and we thought our first bet was to get a Uhaul and drive her stuff all the way back. Well the Uhaul itself ended up being just enough money that we would be left with $100 until we returned it, which was not NEAR enough money to even get gas. We then turned our attention to a Rental Car service called 'Enterprise'. We gathered the information they needed, and were then told that cash was not an acceptable form of payment, though it was all we had, but a money order was.

We take another uber, using our friends card that they so graciously lent us after explaining our situation, to the nearest Walmart to get the money order, and upon returning to the enterprise station, are turned down due to me being only 20 years of age, which they did not mention prior. They money order, being for the majority of our money, was unable to be refunded for 24 hours. So we use a bit of our remaining money to get ANOTHER motel room for the night, so we can wait it through.

We wait the 24 hours, and return to WalMart only to find their System is unable to process the Moneyorder no matter what we do, and the only way to refund it, would be to mail it back with an $18 fee and wait for the check to be sent to us, which was not an option.

After a good amount of thought, begging, and anxiety, Her mother comes up with another way to save us by finding a Greyhound station ticket all the way back home, leaving from Denver the next night at 7PM.

The only problem being that we wouldnt be able to take all of her belongings, and we only had enough money to mail the essentials, we left everything else behind, throwing out COUNTLESS memories and belongings she had aquired over the years.

Mind you, we had hardly been able to eat ANYTHING this entire time due to our funds. So we hop on the greyhound, which exhausted another majority of our funds, only being again assisted by her mother to finish our plans of returning home.

Well after the Gruesome, 23-hour bus ride back, we pack the small amount of my things that had been left out, and go to my coworkers residence, only to find that their 'spare room' is a mattress sitting in the middle of the Kitchen, which is filled to the brim with molding dishes that 'hadnt been touched in years' and the entire house was literally crawling with roaches.

So as to where the money comes in, I as any good boyfriend, cant just sit by and let her live like this, if it was just me I wouldnt care nearly as much, but she deserves so much more than this...
All the money will go towards the $300 fee to have my car towed back, and us getting the hell out of here, I cant make her stay here through her birthday AND Christmas, she means the entire world to me, she is literally the only family I have, and I will do everything I can to pay back every penny donated to help.
Just drop your email with the amount you donated and I will get it back to you as soon as we are out of here and I am able.

Please this means so fucking much to me, we have been hit by every single foul ball and been knocked down at ever point we've tried to take, PLEASE, We will literally do anything just to be given the opportunity to live a happy life together.
