Southern Illinois Music Co Op

We believe the time has come for southern Illinois artists and musicians to have a place of their own to call home. A place where drink sales do not drive the bottom line and where all genres of music are welcomed with open arm and mics. We seek to create a place where local performers earn a fair wage for their chosen crafts.
A fair pay ensured by a co op model of business. Each party receiving pay equal to the next involved. This project cost would cover the plot of land and a byilding consisting of artists apartments above and stage and general public below. This venue would be open to anyone looking to host or perform on a stage for a crowd.
Rental fees would be at a minimum and co op membership open to all would allow free rental.
We are calling any and all artist, promoter,DJ, or performer to join us in an idea who's time has long since come. We invite any and all positive and like minded groups or individuals to join our cause.
