Help Open \"The Soul Shack\"-BBQ & Soul Food to Go!

My name is Ralph Winburn and I would like to respectfully ask for your help in funding my new food business--\"THE SOUL SHACK\"

\"The Soul Shack\" will offer BBQ smoked meats and true soul food items. It will be located on Indian Road in Keys, Oklahoma. Opening an eatery has been a long standing dream for me...

As a young boy I endured many hardships, lost both parents, ended up in an orphanage which helped shape me, but it wasn\'t home-- in the end I was blessed with a great family who loved me and guided me well as a young man.   With their encouragement, I grew up wanting to serve and help others. I evenually became an EMT stationed in the South Bronx with the New York City Fire Department. During this time I made lifelong friends---tragically losing many in the attack on our Nation on 9/11/01. I moved to Oklahoma five years later to start a new life.  I became an LPN, and during that time, also bought a smoker and learned the fine art of BBQ, Okie style. Through these experiences I have learned that healing goes far beyond medicine. Connecting with good friends can heal many things that medicine cannot-- and I have also learned that food is a great way to apply that healing.  Food TRULY speaks to the soul. At \"The Soul Shack\" I intend to not only serve wonderful food to great friends in our community---I will also be there to serve them a listening ear, a smile, a kind word-- and heal souls one plate at a time.
