Sofia's wish

Sofia was diagnosed in October of 2017 with Osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. The first spot was found on her left femur. Doctors immediately removed her leg, then she underwent eight months chemotherapy thereafter.
Sofia has held on to her strong and glowing spirit through it all, shown in her beautiful smile.
After those eight months, she was then placed on a pill form of chemotherapy, and for a short time things seemed to improve.
Then, this month, Sofia began to have pain in her other leg. Her mother took her back to the busy public hospital where she was, surprisingly, seen to right away. Everyone knew the doctors were worried.
The test results showed her cancer was actually another more aggressive and invasive sort. Cancer has now appeared in different parts of Sofia's body, seemingly at random. Doctors have shown details of her case to various hospitals in and outside of El Salvador, but with frustration, right now, there is just nothing more that can be done for her.
The goal now is to help this little angel reduce her pain and control the cancer's spread so that she can enjoy the time she has. Less than a year the doctors say. The family is low income and will need help to accomodate, her as much as possible at home.
Sofia's family, including her 10-year-old brother, want to get her to a place where she can leave the hospital, together, traveling.
On Monday September 24th Sofia is scheduled to receive another chemotherapy treatment which is intended to improve her situation enough so that she will hopefully be able to leave the hospital.
