Someone shot Socks the Cat-Please help!

My girlfriend Katie, has a huge heart of gold for humans and animals. Katie has a family of two dogs and 5 cats. All of them are rescue animals. Socks was her most recent rescue. Yesterday someone shot Socks. The bullet went straight through. He was taken for emergency surgery. The veterinarian had to remove his gall bladder, spleen and do repairs inside the abdominals. Socks remains in ER. The costs to save his life will exceed 5k. My friend needs help! She chose to save Sock’s life once again. I cannot fathom the cruelty of shooting someone’s pet. This act of cruelty has burdened my friend financially...and her heart. Please help if you can.
