Hello, my name is Dee Curry and I am seeking your support in funding an important event to open up dialogue on health and wellness in the DC metropolitan area.
About Solutions to Wellness
Solutions to Wellness is an effort to engage community in promoting our own wellness by encouraging those diverse neighborhoods to dialogue with providers and stakeholders, and assist in creating new and innovative strategies to meet the healthcare and spiritual needs.
Direct Impact
The intended impact is to get persons in care, and to follow their care to maximize successful adherence promoteing wrap around service that is sustaining.
History of Solutions
Solutions is the brainstorm of transgender advocate Dee Curry, who was inspired by deceased advocate Hanke Carde to create a platform to discuss ways to promote qualitative care that is inclusive and sensitive to the metropolitan DC area. Care for young/old people of color, LGBTQ and heterosexuals, and neighborhoods struggling to survive.
Solutions to Wellness will be a two day event starting on November 18th and culminating with an awards ceremony on November 19th. During this event there will be panels featuring DC health and wellness stakeholders speaking on issues that directly effect the community. As well there will be various vendors featured at this event.
With the money raised we will be able to pay for the catering, venue, speakers, honorariums for performers, and cleanup. Please come together and help support this important event for the DC metropolitan community!
Casa Ruby has agreed to act as my fiduciary agent in support of this event. All donations for Solutions to Wellness should be made out to Casa Ruby. I do hope in supporting this conference, you are aware that you are helping to promote wellness and the dialogue needed by all parties in these challenging times.
