Help Orphaned Children with HIV

Sneha Charitable Trust was registered in 2003 to carry forward this mission to provide holistic care to the sick with a preference for those infected with HIV. SCT started Snehadaan in Bangalore as a care and support center for people living with HIV. Among other projects, their main focus is on Snehacare Home and Shining Star School in Bangalore for orphan and vulnerable children living with HIV.
SCT provides residential care and education for 350 children between the ages of 4-15 who are infected with HIV. In addition, 50 young adults are provided residential care, education and vocational training so that they can live a normal life as adults in the society.
Currently there is no steady income to support Sneha Charitable Trust and their other projects. The facility runs with the support of generous supporters. In 2014, SCT started making candles and selling them at the local churches.
One of the immediate needs of SCT is to build a 1,000 square feet facility where they can make, assemble and store candles. Currently, candles are made in a 100 square feet shed with no proper ventilation or water supply. SnehaCares Inc. U.S.’s goal for 2015-2016 year is raise $35,000 (Rupees: 23, 00,000) to assist SCT in building a new candle making facility with proper equipment and storage space. Campaign donors will be able to follow the progress on the earth friendly building on this page!

This gofundme campaign is to support the funding of this candle making facility. The funds will be needed on an ongoing basis during the next twelve months.
