KINDNESS
With the blessing of Skylar Desmarais's grandparents, my aunt and uncle, I am working with a team of educators, psychologists, guidance counselors, and classroom teachers to bring this organization to work with children to promote kindness, assertiveness, action and empathy.
Please keep your eyes out in the days to come for more information about how you can be part of the solution. Through programs like this, children will learn to be "Sweethearts and Superheroes" for one another. My hope is to bring educational programming like this to local schools in honor of Skylar, so that she may have an eternal voice in saving other children from the heartache she knew. Now, more than ever, her echo must be heard in the ears of children who have choices to make.
I spent an hour on the phone with the director of this program this evening. When he heard a small part of her story, he knew we needed to partner. THIS IS THEIR MISSION. I look forward to our next steps and I hope you'll be be with me in time, money and resources. We will be setting up a charitable memorial fund with the intention of partnering also with corporations, large and small, that want to invest in the future of our communities.
All donations will go towards honoring Skylar and helping other children. If you have any questions please ask before making any donations.
