Skydive for Aarons Battle

Donation protected
In August 2016, my cousin Aaron was diagnosed with a rare cancer called alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a soft tissue and bone cancer at just 28 years old.

After multiple misdiagnoses, by the time the cancer was detected it had spread throughout the soft tissue and bones in his body. This cancer is very rare, extremely aggressive and incurable at such a late stage.

Aaron stayed positive and went through 15 months of gruelling treatment, including one of the harshest Chemotherapy regimes that exists. The side effects were severe and painful, but throughout all of this he remained positive and hopeful.

Although the treatment available on the NHS is doing relatively well at managing the cancer, it is not a long term solution. After lots of research from Aarons family, especially his wife and mum, we believe that his only chance at long term survival is a treatment called Immunotherapy. This is unfortunately very costly and only available through private healthcare abroad.
We are hoping that Aaron can find success with this treatment, which will hopefully pave the way for others to eventually be able to obtain it on the NHS.

We will never give up hope and strongly believe that this treatment will give him many more years with the people he loves.

It is for this reason that Aaron's friends, family, work colleagues and others have been campaigning to raise awareness and funds for this treatment.

For this reason, I have decided to take part in a Skydive for Aarons Battle, jumping from 10,000ft in Yorkshire on the 20th July to raise money and support for him. For anyone who knows me, I am not a fan of heights so this will be a challenge for me for sure! But it is the most worthy cause for me and I hope that you can all support, no matter how small or large a donation, it would be so gratefully received!

Thank you so much for reading about my cousins story, please can you help by donating and sharing to spread the word.
