Dominique Sarah&Violets home fire

Thank you for reading.
At 3am on July 5th Dominique woke to the sound off cracking and light flickering on the wall. She jumped out of bed and looked to see smoke pouring in through the French doors from the balcony. She ran down stairs to her eldest daughter Sarah (16) who was sleeping underneath where the fire started; Sarah ran to get her sister Violet (8) then into the street to the neighbour's house in pajamas and without shoes. When the girls were safe, Dominique tried to get the hose to put the fire out while dialing 911 but it progressed too quickly. The fire resulted in a total loss of the home and all of their possessions in 40 minutes or less despite the amazing effort of 22 Bow Horn Bay and Deep Bay volunteer firefighters. The neighbours took care of the kids until morning.
Everything the girls had is gone, baby and family pictures and irreplaceable items. Her home insurance was to be renewed in the next few days which has left the family with nothing; no food, clothing, personal effects, possessions. Dominique was approved for a loan to renovate and sell her home on July 6th (the next day) as she has been recently separated and was injured at work last year. She has been unable to work and is booked for surgery at the end of the month after a year of tests and intense pain. Her medical EI is about to run out, and all three girls will have to rebuild from scratch with nothing.
This go fund me account is to cover the bare essentials for survival. The immediate needs are for clothing, food, medications, and support while Dominique is working to recover her health so she can support her girls again. We're hoping to raise enough money to rebuild her home so that she can concentrate on healing and returning to work. This untimely, unfortunate event has left this small family in financial desperation and in great need of support from the community. Any donations, good wishes, and supportive energy is greatly appreciated. Please share her link to friends and family.

Hello everyone helping us on go fund me❤ I have some pretty exciting updates.
Fire Chief, Geoff Macintosh finished his investigation and they are unable to find the cause. We know it was electrical outside on the sundeck. I was drying lavendar in a food dehydrator on the porch. There is evidence of electrical wires melting in the wall. Is probable cause.
We had engineer Ted Burch donated his time to check out the structure of the house. ALL THE CONCRETE WALLS, FOUNDATION AND ALMOST ALL THE FLOOR ARE BUILDABLE!!!!! This was such a relief!!! MEANS I HAVE A CHANCE TO REBUILD MY HOME!! (If I had the expense of concrete removal might of been too much)
This leads me to BIG HEARTS and some amazing GENEROSITY that helped me get started on saving my home.
COAST ENVIROMENTAL, DONATED BINS, DELIVERY, AND REMOVAL!!!❤
HWY 4,DONATED AN EXCAVATOR AS WELL AS A SMALL EXCAVATOR FREE AND DELIVERY!!❤
WEST COAST YARDBIRDS DONATED A BOBCAT AND TIME!!❤
SPIDER LAKE GROUNDWORKS DONATED ANOTHER EXCAVATOR !!!❤
THE LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME OUT AND VOLUNTEERED THEIR TIME FOR 3 DAYS !!❤❤❤
FAMILY AND FRIENDS CAME AND HELPED ME CLEAN THE HOUSE For 3 and half days!!!
7 bins later, the house was gutted.
BIG THANK-YOU AND HUG to everyone helping us on this journey.
I also had surgery during the cleanup, (stressful) GREAT NEWS THOUGH. The abnormality is GONE!
This is huge for me. It was the source of so much stress and financial loss, starting last May 2017 when I returned to work, commercial fishing ,after separating and getting a divorce. There was an accident on the boat and I was eventually rushed to hospital. I lost my income and struggled with doctors and wcb for the rest of the year. That income always paid for the water bill, car insurance, house insurance, and strata for the year. Losing this income and my health I had no way of making this income back. Dealing with WCB was no help.
I finally received proper testing in April 30th 2018 for the chronic pain the Dr told me I was no longer deemed fit to work to the unforeseeable future. Trying to recover from my health and having to deal with my house and be a full time mother to 2 girls, has been over the top.
At this point I knew I had to look at listing my home. I had spent 3 weeks before the fire, going to banks, loan applications to finally a mortgage broker trying to help me get my home renovated and sold to get caught up on all the debt I had accumulated from the divorce and loss of my job and health. I did get a loan the next day after the fire (8 hours after it started).
So they say good luck and bad luck are all mixed up in one. So best luck I've had is my kidney is cancer free and my home is rebuildable and the fire department, family and friends have supported me and loved me, through this unreal sureal mess, to find some light , happiness and love.
None of the stuff really matters.
ALL we really have is people. People are what create our reality and our reality is really only love and beauty if we choose to create this.
Please help me recreate my home for my children and I. Please go fund me and support my cause to rebuild my home.
I'm not asking for my 700 000$ home back. The basement can be unfinished, one bathroom is all we need. I have the walls. I need a roof, insulation, windows, siding for next steps.
Thank-you again to everyone who has helped me this far and given us three girls hope. The list is long and many...❤❤❤

The tremendous support from family, friends, the community, and people we have never met , has been overwhelming. This has been a very difficult tramatic time of our lives. We couldn't have done it without the support from everyone.
