SL HS Alumni Scholarship fund

We are the alumni of Silver Lake High School who are raising funds to help other Silver Lake High School students to further their education.  Whether that be college or a vocational school.      
  Students who are intersted in applying for this scholarship fill out an informational and needs based application obtained from the high school.  Then a committee of 4 alumni select the receipients for these scholarships.  They are chosen not only based on GPA or ACT scores but also on a needs basis.
   The Silver Lake Alumni Scholarship Fund was set up in 1992.  $250 was 1st awarded in 1996.  Since then the fund has awarded 21 scholarships. All were funded by Alumni donations.  At present, there is $25,969.71 in the Scholarship accounts.  Two scholarships, each in the amount of $500, will be awarded this year.
  The alumni would like to do even  more for our students and that is why we are asking for donations.  Anything you could give would be greatly appreciated and please don't forget to share this with others!!

  P.S.  Alumni don't forget, every year, on the 2nd Sat. of June we gather for a pot-luck dinner in the cafeteria of the high school at 6 pm.
