Sight for Learning

As educators, we make every effort to ensure that our students have all the tools necessary to be successful. However, sometimes those needs go beyond what we are able to provide for them outside of the classroom. To say its heartbreaking to see students go without what they need to be successful and engaged learners is an understatement, and this is where the saying, "It takes a village..." comes in.

A few students at our middle school broke their glasses, and while most of use could simply go get a new pair, for these students, this seemingly simple idea is out of reach for them and their families as new glasses are something that they simply cannot afford. These students need glasses to see and engage with their peers and in classroom activities. Falling behind academically and missing out on social activities is not something that these children and their families should have to worry about.

This is where the village comes in. We need your help in fundraising enough money to purchase glasses for these students so they can go back to being children, and seeing the world, who cares so much about them, clearly. Their job is to run, play, laugh, read and learn and with your help they can do that.
