Support Si Si Han & her family

Donation protected
On the devastating morning of December 2, 2017, Si Si Han was taken away from her family, loved ones, and the public. She was struck by a truck that had rear ended other cars before slamming into her toll booth. Si Si was announced dead on scene from this horrific fatal accident.

The saddening part is that this wasn’t even Si Si’s normal shift time. A co-worker had called out sick, so Si Si stepped up to fill the shift. While the shift time originally started at 5:30AM, she was asked to come in earlier, starting at 5AM. The truck struck her around 5:11AM, only worked for a few minutes into her shift. Her husband, Ryan Saw, had dropped her off at work. Just as he arrived home, he received the life-changing phone call that his wife had just died.

Si Si was only 46. A nurturing mother, loving wife, and a caring individual to all. Her family, friends, and colleagues will forever remember her sweet smile, generosity, and kindness.

Si Si was originally born in Burma (Myanmar). In 2002, Si Si moved to the United States and got married to her husband, Ryan Saw. In 2007, they gave birth to their beautiful daughter, Ashly, who is 10 years old today. During the same year, Si Si brought her widowed mother to the United States. All of them had been living happily together in the Bay Area for a decade.

This tragic news has affected her huge family located in the Bay Area and across the United States. We are all still in utter shock, devastated, and at a complete loss of words. Her family in Burma have expressed their shock and deep sorrow that they aren’t able to travel to the United States during this difficult time of grief.

Si Si was such a sweet and generous woman. She constantly made sacrifices to support her family, especially her young daughter. Si Si specifically worked early morning shift in order to spend time with her family the remainder of the day. She worked hard to ensure that her daughter would have the resources to explore her passions and to pursue a higher education in the future.

Whether through your kind and supportive words, thoughts, or actions, we truly thank you for everything through this inexpressible loss. Any donations will be deeply appreciated and go toward funeral expenses, supporting the family, and Ashly’s future.

Again, thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for your love and support.

Sincerely,

Ryan Saw
