Welcome ! This Donation site has been setup to help pay the costs associated with the 40 year Reunion of the very first graduating class of Shorewood High School, the Class of 1978.
As the reunion organizer for this years big event, I realized we needed to pay upfront for most of the services, food, drinks, staff and for the facility itself. The last of our funds were spent on our 30 year reunion. In the current economy, I am unable to front the money needed for this event, so I decided to reach out to the world to see if we could generate some income to fund this event, so I created THIS page. Any and all donations will go to pay for this event. If by chance there are any remaining funds after the event is complete, those funds will be banked for future reunion events. Shorewood is a 4 year High School in the Shoreline School District, located in the City of Shoreline, just North of the Seattle City limits.
This year's reunion will be held at Shorewood itself on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018. The original school was torn down, and a completely new modern and very well designed school was built on the same site with the same name and purpose. Many of our original class members were in attendance for the Shorewood re- dedication ceremonies on October 12th, 2013.
Our 40 year reunion will include tours of the new facility, a catered meal, hors d'oeuvres, snacks, along with a no host bar. For entertainment, we'll have a dance floor and a DJ spinning the 60's and 70's tunes we grew up listening to. In the theater which is incredible, we will have a musical performance by our class mate and international recording artist David Raleigh. A video memorial presentation honoring those we have lost from our class and faculty will follow David's performance.
On the night prior to the main event, many of us will be attending Shorewood's home football game against district rival Shorecrest at Shoreline Stadium.
