Shively Seminoles (Southwest Youth Sports, Inc.) has been established in Louisville, KY since 2009. We started out small and have grown beyond everyone's measure over our short 6 years. We provide an opportunity for youth ages 5-13 to be able to learn the game of football while learning how to be come well rounded adults while gaining a strong sense of brotherhood. In our 6 years we have been able to win 4 league championships throughout our organization. And to boot, we have been blessed with great volunteers and even better children and parents.
In 2015 we have surpassed even what we thought was possible with our Pee-Wee and Mighty might level teams. Our Pee-Wee team coached by Shearod Mack has went 15-0 in our regular season and post season schedules, winning the LYFL Pee-Wee championship, Louisville's King of the City and River City Rumble. Next, our Mighty-Mite team coached by Jarmaine Hopson has went 14-1 in our regular season and post season schedules, winning LYFL Mighty Might championship, Runner up Louisville's King of the City and winning River City Rumble. To get there they have beat teams that were undefeated in other competiting leagues. It has been an awesome ride, and it's not over.
To help the kids get national exposure and play a different talent level we have been invited to play in the National Prep Football Academy Southeast Tournament the weekend of December 11th- 13th. We are very excited to be able to offer this to this group of youth.
With your donation we will be able to fund for transportation, lodging and food for our youth when we make this 6 hour journey down the highway to what we hope is a victory not only for the Shively Seminoles, but for Louisville as well as Kentucky Youth Football.
With our trip being less than a month away we need your help right away! Any amount is appreciated but to be able to reach the ultimate goal of $7500 would be a blessing beyond measure.
