Expedition to unknown shipwreck

Donation protected

Your donation will help discover the origin of an unknown shipwreck, the outlines of which appear to be shaped like a Norse longship.

A world famous American underwater archaeologist, who has measured and surveyed the Titanic, described my find as "fascinating" and worthy of further exploration.

UPDATE: The latest clues to the origin of the ship point towards it being a steam whaling ship named "Wildfire", built in 1853.

In March 2016 I investigated coordinates at Disko-Island near Greenland. I discovered the outlines of something that corresponds to a  longboat near the shore. A longhouse (possibly Thule civilization) lies 11 miles to the West .

Disko Island, where this shipwreck is located, lies very close to the ancient Viking routes on their way to America. Leif Erickson sailed past this location.

The background to this discovery is in the following link, which also explains why this might be a Viking longship:
New discovery of a sunk longboat near Disko Island, Godhavn, of possibly Norse origin

Here is another link, which does not require registration: https://ehabich.info/singularity/archaeology/unknownvessel.htm

For the expedition I need help in financing the journey and my stay in Godhavn. Since I am not affiliated with any University or Research group, the cost of staying at Arctic station could be around 100 Euros per day. I believe the survey objective can be reached in 7 days.

The cost of travelling to Godhavn from Copenhagen is given as approx. 1400 Euros. The total cost of the expedition should not exceed 4000 Euro including hire of a rubber dinghy and field assistance.

I would like to know what the shipwreck is, exactly. Should it turn out to be a Viking, Norse or Thule longboat, then it could be the biggest one ever found.
It could also be a forgotten whaling ship.

It's true origin can only be discovered by visiting it.

There will be regular updates about this expedition on Facebook and newspapers (number one: Solinger Tageblatt) and I am planning a book and papers describing the expedition.

Your name will be included in the credits, should this come to fruition, no matter what you can contribute!

Thanks for your interest,
Eric
