Shiloh's Specialist Physio-therapy

Hello dear friends and family!

We have so appreciated your thoughts and prayers for baby Shiloh since her birth in April.

For those who may not know, Shiloh was born via an emergency caesarean after the doctors lost her heartbeat. They discovered that she had had the umbilical cord wrapped four times around her neck. She was without a heartbeat for likely up to twenty minutes and – during that time without oxygen – sustained serious brain injury.

Shiloh has been doing remarkably well, defying all the odds by being able to breastfeed, see, hear, and interact – she is so smiley and happy!

Shiloh seems to have normal range of movement on her left side, however, her right arm and leg are quite tight and she seems not to know how to use them.

Gratefully, we have found a physical therapy practitioner who specialises in helping children and babies who have brain injuries to rebuild neural pathways and establish normal body movements  (with Anat Baniel Method--  linked below ). She practices on the Isle of Wight,  just off the southern coast of England.

This treatment is not covered by the NHS (National Health Service)
The earlier the treatment begins, the more benefit can be achieved, as the brain becomes less plastic and able to adapt as time goes on.

This could potentially change the course of Shiloh's life and we are looking to start as soon as possible, but the price of the sessions as well as the added expenses of travelling across the country are looking vast and, to be frank, unmanageable.

If you have the means and feel led to assist financially (any amount), we would be so grateful.

Much love,

p.s. the Shiloh threw up on me first take of the video, and a fly flew on me during the second one, so... third time's the charm!
