"Kiss The Ground" CD

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my go fund me site. I'm the former lead singer of indie rock band, The Evinrudes (Mercury/DAS) turned ordained United Methodist minister who writes, performs and finds music to be one of the most healing things in the world, it is simply an act of love for me.

"Kiss the Ground" is a project that is near and dear to my heart, some of which was funded by the Louisville Institute to look at wisdom traditions from around the world. I was inspired to write 10 songs based on ancient wisdom literature, some as much as 4000 years old, from several religious and spiritual traditions such as Egyptian, Islamic, Jewish, Christian and Native American traidtions.

I'm so grateful to the Louisiville Institute for funding the recording, but in order to get this project out to the world, I still need to pay for mastering, duplication and a few other expenses as well. I'm asking for your partnership. And, hey, you get a CD out of it and possibly more if you are so moved.

What I love about this project is that it just goes to show that we, as the human race, are much more alike that we are different. It is our spirit that unites us, this is clear in the wisdom tradition, what I call the universal language of the heart. We can come together around wisdom.

In a day and age when information and knowledge are readily available, we seem to have a poverty of wisdom. Singing songs inspired by the beautiful heart language of many traditions I realized we have been dealing with the issues of meaning for a very long time. It's also clear what the poet Rumi, Christ and others have been telling us from ancient wisdom all along, love is the most powerful force in the universe.
