Shero - A Documentary Film

Hi my name is Chloe Burbank. I am currently a Senior at Arizona State University studying film. I am trying to gather funding for my dream/senior project. Shero, a short documentary film for women, about women, and made by women. Why does the word hero have to feature he? I believe we need to start recognizing the SHE(roes) of society and the amazing impact they make. I will be interviewing 5 main subjects that include a teacher, police chief, business woman, and women who run non-profits. I am creating this film to empower women and show audiences that women should not be limited.
      The funds donated through this campaign will all go towards the production of my film. $5,000 will go towards my pre production plans which includes traveling with my crew from Phoenix to both Los Angeles and Austin for two separate interviews. This amount will also go to hiring female professionals (i.e. Camera & Sound). Another large part of this money will go to post-production I will need to hire a lot of professionals to ensure that this film can live up to its potential (i.e. editor, color correction, composer, sound mixer, etc...). Then the rest of the funding raised will go towards entering film festivals! I am trying to raise money as soon as possible because my first interview start in November and I would love to be equipped by this time.
      Any support means the world to me because I really do believe that this project has power and a purpose. Never has there been a better time for women to support each other and for society to recognize the power of a woman!
