I've had a passion for storytelling as long as I can remember. Even as a young child, I loved to read and create stories to entertain others. As I grew older, I never lost my zeal for elaborate plots and intricate character development. I wrote three novels and a short story by the time I graduated highschool, as well as a screen play. I attended Full Sail University and enrolled in their online Creative Writing for Entertainment bachelor's degree.
As I am traversing through the hectic routines of adulthood, I still write every chance I get and never stop learning about the craft.
I have six novels published on Amazon Kindle and two are available in print with one on the way.
I became a finalist for SolaFide Publishing's "So You Want To Get Published" writing contest with one of my early manuscripts and completed the National Novel Writing Month challenge of 50,000 words in 30 days after 2 weeks.
These are just a few of the accomplishments I have achieved as a writer and emerging indie author in the past year.
But I need your help to make my dream of becoming a best selling author and stay-at-home writer a reality.
I've set a goal for $1,000 and those funds will be used for a variety of things.
As a self-publishing author, I must put out the money for many aspects of the publishing process, including but not limited to: professional editing services, cover designs, marketing on social media, and of course, courses to help improve my writing skills and software to create beautiful eBooks and print formating.
These expenses are ongoing as I continue to crank out novels over the year. And not only can these things get expensive, but they can become the key to breaking into the industry and being taken seriously as an indie author. A beautiful cover catches a potential reader's eye. Well edited content can keep the reader's attention and spark their interest in my work. Well planned marketing strategies can promote my books in ways that I, as an individual, never could.
