In March, Carlisle C.A.R.E.S. lost our means of transportation for over 60 people.  The bus that we utilized to transport residents to the evening shelters was unable to pass state inspection.  This left our organization that provided transportation for those facing homelessness with its own lack of transportation.  We now face the major expense of acquiring a "new" bus.  This was an unplanned and unexpected situation for our already limited budget to handle. 

On a daily basis, many of us take shelter and transportation for granted.  Our organization is vital to individuals and families of all ages and cultural background who are without shelter, struggling to gain stability in their lives.   Unfortunately, the reality is that many of the residents of Carlisle C.A.R.E.S. rely on the organization to build stability and renewed independence in their lives.  Transportation is often a big part of that stability.
