Shay's Winning Journey

As you are all no doubt aware, our lovely school Captain Shay is in the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne with leukemia.
Her mum Julie is by her side and helping her transition through the various stages of chemotherapy. We know that she will be in hospital for the next month, and then will live nearby the hospital where she will continue with her treatment. After her return to Bendigo the family will need to make regular visits to the Royal Children’s for further testing and treatment.
Whilst Shay is in hospital her medication is taken care of, but once they become outpatients medication, petrol and parking costs will become considerable. Julie was working 4 part-time jobs and Wayne (Shay’s dad) has cut his working hours down to be there for Shay’s younger brother Jayd.
As a community I know we all want to help in some way. For that reason, this account has been setup and if you
would like to contribute I know they would be extremely grateful! The smallest amount will genuinely help. Thank you so much for your support.
