Shayn Elexendere Fund

$3,430 of $5,000 goal

Shayn Elexendere was many things during his lifetime. He was a husband, father, militay medic, nursing student, friend, leader, but most importantly, Shayn was a wonderful, kind, charistmatic, and compassionate individual.

Shayn was just beginning his journey to become a nurse when he suddenly lost his life. He was a Med-Vet student, which means that he served our country diligently and was returning to school to further his career to serve others. He was the Med-Vet representative for his class of May 2018 to Undergradutate Nursing Activities and Advisory Council (UNAAC) which allowed him to use his knowledge to better serve his classmates. Shayn always had a smile on his face that was contagious, you could not help but be in a good mood when you were around him. Shayn was also willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, whether that be in the classroom or in life. He will be truly missed, but will be reunited with his son, Shephard, who the family lost last year.

This fund was created to help support Shayn's wife Jessica, their 4 year old daughter Chaya, and Shayn's future child who is due in the fall. Contributing to this fund will help support this family during this unbearable time and help alleviate some financial pressures. Any amount of money is welcome.

Shayn was a one-of-a-kind man and will be remebered as one of the finest young men to be involved in the University of Kentucky College of Nursing.

Thank you,

Undergradutate Nursing Activities and Advisory Council (UNAAC)

I was one of Chaya's preschool teachers at St. Mark before I moved. I cannot imagine what Jessica is going through. My thoughts and prayers will be with her and Chaya for a long time.
