The Columbus, Ohio-based New Americans Magazine just celebrated one year of printing monthly and FREE distribution. It is a general interest magazine that informs, educates and entertains Americans, especially 1st and 2nd generations and contemporary immigrants. It promotes accomplishment, activities and events of the new American and immigrant community; becoming the Voice.
After one year of successfully printing and distributing FREE, it is my resolve to increase the number of copies printed monthly which has never gone above 350 to 3000 so that greater number of people can have free access to information critical to the integration and development of the community.
The website, www.thenewamericansmag.com, does not have a pay wall as well and it is part of ensuring free access to information. As at today, the adverts are not much to allow the kind of growth being envisaged.
The fund will enable the New Americans magazine to increase copies for free distribution from October 2018, report daily, hire freelance contributors and share more about the contributions of the community to development in America. There is so much happening today that should be timely reported and distributed to the right community.
Importantly, at one point every American was a new American either of today or through lineage. Information and education helped and will continue to help make integration easy.
It will be an honor to be counted a worthy contributor to this SUCCESS in the making and it will be highly appreciated.
