A Yurt for the Shanti family.

We are the Shanti family. Chi, Rain, Rama and Durga.
Rama is 7, and Durga is 5. When we first had Rama, we knew we wanted to do things a little different than most folks.
Our children eat all organic food (alot of which we grow), they wear all organic clothes. They do not watch TV or listen to radio programs. We teach them how to be human, about nature, plants, animals. They play and get to be kids in a world where kids are turning to adults at younger and younger ages. We teach them to respect all beings, all forms, all of the earth, just as we do. We teach them the earth is a living being, not a resource for humans to pillage.
We are very happy living a loving simple life without many material possessions. Most of all our money goes toward our childrens diet, and their well being. Rain and I both decided we would do what was best for the children. And it was in their best interest to have their Mom at home with them full time, so we live as we do off one income, and a very meager income at that.
We currently live at the Laytonville Ecovillage in a small 19 foot trailer from the 1960s. We have been making payments on a 30 foot yurt since the beginning of this year, but coming up with an extra $15000 has been more than difficult.
Any help toward this goal of a new home for our family would be an amazing gift!
