Hello!

I'd like to thank everyone so much for your support so far. Things have been amazing.

I have some updates because the needs of my wee family have changed a bit.

First change is that my concrete needs have changed a bit. I've got my tablet and my coat which were the two biggest things I really needed. I've also been able to get my Office 365 paid up as well as some bills.

Currently our concrete needs are these:

Amazon Fresh 89.94$ (6mos)- Amazon has changed things around and due to us already being prime members we can use the service at their 14$ a month fee with some help.

Renter's Insurance- $58.69 I would like to pay off the remainder of this in a lump sum. We have a (hopeful) lease renewal coming up in February and I'd like that covered for the holidays.

Mattress Topper- 89-150$ We desperately need a new mattress but that will be a bigger cost. My partner has severe back problems (part of their disability) and we both have issues sleeping. Our mattress is starting to be detrimental to our health and we need a solution until we can afford a better one.

Less concrete needs:

Professional Wordpress-79$ I've decided to continue my new blog (find it here  ) and I am very invested in expanding what I can do with it. With a pro package I can code my own template, expand how I do my merch store etc and my little affiliate side hustles. I've been really enjoying working out my own voice in terms of talking fashion, aesthetics and beauty etc and I want to do more without being constrained.

Anything raised above the total of 378$ (rounded up to the nearest dollar) will go towards the following:

60% into my checking account just in case we have to move quickly or have to pay a month to month fee until moving.

10% into a Celebrate Shannon's 40th birthday fund.

30% to be put into our household budget to help with things like some new furniture, new cane for my partner, that sort of household thing.

~

That is my update. Thank you for visiting. Please come back to see my fashion spread of me in my new coat once it gets here.

##

Hello World and thank you for visiting my fundraiser.

I have a goal of raising a total of $2,000 dollars. For background I am a writer living in Seattle with my partner who is disabled. I work full time and freelance a little bit. I spend a lot of time side-hustling, little jobs where I can find them. For quite a while I was meeting my non-survival needs with a little part time job writing copy. Unfortunately I lost that job and due to a large rapid increase in my cost of living this year and no income to go with it, I've been unable to save up enough money for things that will:
Make day to day life easier
Allow me to create more varied content (podcasting, virtual readings etc)
Keep my technology running and up to date so I can create.
Have time to work on the next edition of my self-care book and other projects.

Below, you'll find an itemized list of where money needs to go. I've spent a few months figuring things out and what I need. Essentially, I need a leg up. I need some help just doing some basic leveling up in my household, I'd like the chance to create more streams of income for myself, to be able to eat better without sacrificing other things. With my job and outside income, I've been able to budget successfully to mainly keep our life going. The budget is just too tight to make improvements in our quality of life and that is why I am doing this fundraiser.
Items I will be needing without all of the specific brand names etc:

Item Needed Cost
RCA 10 inches WINDOWS 10 129$ -I'd like one of these so I can write on the go without needing to carry my full size laptop.
MESSENGER ORGANIZER 35$- To keep the tablet protected as well as keep any hand written notes in good shape.
PRO WORDPRESS 79$- For my blog www.auntieshannon.net I'd like to remove the ads, have more control over embeds so I can utilize my affiliate linking more efficiently.
Year of renters ins $97.87 - I'd like to be able to pay this in advance and not rely on my side hustle money to pay it monthly.
Year of Duotrope 50$ - This is for submission tracking and indepth submission research for mainly fiction and poetry.
Waterproof coat 55$- My fall/not heavy coat is 16 years old and has been repaired to death. I don't drive and spend hours a day in the elements. I also have a wool allergy and would like a particular style of coat I've found on Amazon.
Year of Office 365 99$- The full suite of programs available on up to 5 different devices. I need this in order to stay organized and have central storage for my work.
Year of UPS PO Box 225$- Aside from having difficulty reliably getting packages and mail at my home, I'd like to be able to have an open available address to use in conjunction with my blog.
1 stick DDR RAM 40$- My rebuilt laptop is using borrowed RAM. I'd like to give it back and have my own so my machine will run properly.
700 watt dual rail ps 70$- The main PC in our household that we use for everything is in dire need of a new power supply.
These things are the basics I need to get a bit ahead.

Below are the stretch goals.
Upper level goals
YR of Amazon Fresh 299$- Due to my partner having mobility problems and the lack of accessible service in our area, often we have to rely on dollar store/other not great food. We don't have a lot of storage space and this service would enable us to have more fresh food available in manageable amounts for the two of us without my partner having to take taxis or try to carry things home.
Reaper audio program 60$- I'd like this so I can produce quality audio.
Recording system 149$- For quality recording I need some starter equipment.
40th birthday fund 250$- I am turning 40 in March 2017. My partner and I have not been able to have a good celebration for any occasion in a long time. We don't go out much and for my birthday we'd like to plan a full day of amazing things including a fancy dinner out, maybe the theatre or opera. We'll need to buy outfits, arrange for a car service etc. We'd like to go all out.
Anything raised above this sum amount will go into an interest bearing savings account/rainy day fund. Like most poor people we are one disaster away from ruin and I'd really love to have the opportunity to be prepared.

Thank you so much for visiting. If you are unable to donate please feel free to spread the word.

Hi y'all. I haven't updated in quite a while. I'm sorry about that. Things have been, well y'all know.

I have redone my monthly/life in general budget and wanted to update some info.

I have almost all of the material things I really needed. THANK YOU!

Any further monies raised will be split between my savings and helping ease my lil fam through the 250$ a month cost of living increase that is coming.

If you can't donate, as always please boost to interested folks. Thanks for all your support you've helped me live.

GOOD NEWS!! Thanks to y'all, I have a new coat coming right now. Guess who's gonna be warm and dry!! Thanks so much for all your support, it means everything to me. After my coat arrives, I'll post a little fashion shoot. And a goodbye to the fleece pea coat I've had for 16 years. I was also able to get my Office 365 going and I'm ready to work on multiple machines without losing any work.

I will come back and update with some new goals and adjustments. As always, thank you so much for your support and shares and everything.

Hello again friends! A quick update. October flew by and WOW November. So far, y'all have been instrumental in me getting my little tablet and I was able to save some money on it so I went ahead and picked up new RAM for my laptop and got it installed, I was also able to pick up my very first pair (shocking I KNOW) real deal rain boots.

Currently my biggest need is that I need to wrap my subscription to Office 365 Home. I really need the multi-device support so I can not only have my work stored safely on the cloud, but I can also work on the go on any of my devices.

Let's get there! Please help by forwarding the link to my fundraiser where ever you can, remember if you can't donate shares are cares! Thanks for reading and for all your support.
