Shannan, Ben, and their two kids, Hunter & Griffyn, need our help! On the afternoon of Nov 15, they came to take a nap and recoup from a long weekend of football (Go Griffyn!). They were awakened by an EXPLOSION. Unbeknownst to them, their neighbor had set up a very illegal, very dangerous hash lab in the adjoining garage. It exploded. A butane explosion- right against the kids' bedroom.
As smoke billowed into their home, they grabbed as a few photographs, Shannan's departed mom's jewelry, and the cat.
Ben & Shannan are two of the kindest people on the planet. They are both are working. Shannan is in the Social Work program at HSU, fulltime. She is the co-founder of Pay It Forward Humboldt. Hunter & Griffyn are right in the middle of their school year and sports season. The holidays are soon approaching. This hardship is stretching them thin.
Let's show Shannan, Ben, and the kids that they are not alone. Let's offer them relief and comfort. The renter's insurance will cover 15 days in the hotel and some damage recuperation but there is a gap between needs and funds. Here is where we come in. Here is where you come in.
